If you buy ads on Facebook, you can choose the inter­ests of the peo­ple you tar­get — you might only want cat lovers, or peo­ple over 30, or recent car buyers.

Now Facebook says it will remove one cat­e­go­ry from that list: pseu­do­science*.

That’s right: You will no longer be able to tar­get your ads to peo­ple who believe in crys­tal pow­er, alien abduc­tions, or the heal­ing ben­e­fits of Lysol in your veins. (“Conspiracy the­o­ry” was also removed as an option.)

Shame, that.

* Fun fact: Users don’t put themselves in those categories. Facebook’s algorithms do.
