It’s never “moving along nicely” and there’s never a look at the bigger, long-term picture.

It's easy to get seasick in a newsroom

Case in point: CNBC’s “New Home Sales Drop 0.3%, Cast Shadow on Recovery.” (A tiny, month-to-month drop casts a shadow? Really? Even when the year-to-year figures are up 17 percent?)

Also: It should be Casts Shadow, not Cast Shadow.
