Another kudo to TonerRefillKits.com

Published 8/26/08

I think I mentioned these folks before, but it’s worth another shout out. I needed toner for my laser printer and (for reasons I can’t recall) I found TonerRefillKits out of the huge list of places. The first time I used ‘em, I loved ‘em — good price, and honestly clear instructions. (Whomever wrote them is clearly a writer, not “the guy who knows English as a second language instead of a third or fourth.)

Plus, you get a bag of M&Ms. (Some kits require a three-minute wait, so TRK provides a timer and the M&Ms to munch while you wait.) And this time I got a flashlight keyring, too. Plus the owner’s name is John Galt, which adds at least a couple of cool points.

And no, I’m not paid or even asked to say these things. I just really like this company.

I remember this company. Funny I don’t remember seeing any M&Ms….

John Galt says:

Dear Andrew:

Thank you for the kind words. In this day and age, when it seems people are so quick to complain about anything/everything, it is a rarity when someone takes the time to say, “You done good…”

(We have actually had people complain about the fact we include candy as a “Thank you” in our shipping box, that the candy wasn’t “vegan” (or sugar-free or that we didn’t offer a choice of the type/brand of candy they could receive), that it had nuts in it, that they only received one free keychain LED flashlight, that the body of the free keychain LED flashlight wasn’t the color of the one shown on the web site, the ReChargX instructions were too detailed, there were too many pictures, etc. I can’t make this stuff up!)

While we know from our re-order statistics that the vast majority of our customers like what we do (and come back to buy more), those numbers don’t leave the same impression that a quick kudo does.

On behalf of all of the folks here who make our ability to receive kudos a reality, thank you, so much.

As for the M&M’s not being in the box according to your SWMBO (“she who must be obeyed”, aka, your wife), we will take the fall for you, buddy, and blame it on our packers…

Thanks, again,

John Galt (and my SWMBO – Dagney)

P.S. FWIW, since it is apparent you are a geek like I am, I just bought a Sangean WFR-1 internet radio and there is something quite cool listening to 16,000+ streaming radio stations from around the world, listening to thousands of podcasts and using it as a wi-fi media player from any PC on your network.

And, the icing on the cake is, it has great fidelity.

Andrew says:

Yes, John, I believe there are people who will complain about freebies. And peanuts. And do dental checks on gift horses. People are people.

(Yes, I would have preferred a light that was a color other than purple, but in the dark it doesn’t matter much. What does matter is that it’s an LED that will last forever, and that the battery is easily replaced.)

But if you think for a moment that I believe you’re S.O. is named “Dagney,” you got another thing coming. ;-)

The M&Ms were tasty, as always.

Dave says:

To the Wife,

Check with Homeland Security M&M’s might have been confiscated as a dangerous commodity and disposed of. p

To Mister Galt, One would think the vegan who didn’t get the shipped fresh rotten tomato instead of the candy might have been grateful. Most complaints are frivilous and we should be happy for it. It serves as a compliment to how well you and your staff really do run your business. Complaints like that you can handle.

;-)
