Did I do something wrong?

Published 7/31/07

Why are all these Fox News ads appearing here? Does Google think I want to look at Bill O’Reilly’s face? (I don’t, unless it’s in a coffin.)

Of course, mentioning him here will probably cause even more ads to appear, gendering more snide comments from Yours Truly, causing more ads… it’s like a sick game of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.

Its not just Billo. That sick b*tch Ann Colter shows up a lot too. Can’t you spray for pests like that? I thought there was a way to filter ads from google by keyword.

Sadly, I haven’t seen one ad on your site that I’ve wanted to click on. Do you want pity clicks?

It’s telling that O’Reilly’s Mug adorns the Ad. Love him or hate him, Mr. Bill has an OPINION show which very frequently includes lefties of all-stripes. The Fox NEWS man is Brit Hume. …and yes he happens to lean right just as Couric and Brian Williams etc etc lean left.

Steve says:

Er, hate site? The worst you’ll see here is a diatribe about bad driving.
If you want to see a hate site, there’s some pretty spectacular gay-bashing on some Church sites, or you could go to parts of England wearing a French soccer/football jersey, or you could ask Ann Coulter about how she feels about most anything, or ask Henry Rollins about how he feels about absolutely everything, or post pro-Right stuff on a pro-Left board and vice-versa.

Anyway, there’s lots of misdirected hate out there – but it’s unlikely to be here.

Sorry Steve: Gnomic is correct. I was channeling Bill “Orly?” for the amusement of the proles — and the denigration of Bill…

Steve says:

Oh, of course.

You see… my doctor told me to not watch that show since he said my brain might explode. Clearly, thos who watch it and believe it have had *some* sort of brain failure.

Actually, I watched FOX NEWS for the first time in a few years and I wish I were still teaching High School students, just so I could have them pick it all apart logically in a critical thinking lesson. Made me a bit nauseous. But that might’ve been because it was in a fast food place.
