Way to care about your employees. A Dominos Pizza driver here was robbed Sunday night while making a delivery. The next day, the company fired her (she had worked there six years) for — get this — making Dominos drivers look like a target.
The Fray
Andrew says:
Oh, no argument that Dominos has the right to fire her. But sheesh, it’s sure a nasty thing to do.
Ed says:
There is defenitely something missing in social legislation if this is possible. This has a third-world ring about it.
Zach says:
As far fetched as it seems I wonder how someone could even go about making Dominos drivers more of a target if they wanted too.
The amount of common sense in this story seems minimal.
Bob Kantor says:
In the grand scheme of things, Dominos did her a favor…driver for Dominos for 6 years…get a better job honey!!
Marie says:
What better job? As a member of the working class, pizza-delivery might be the best thing out there for her. Working at a desk or in a store probably wouldn’t give her enough “freedom.” Without school, a network, and a killer resume, she’ll never be anything better paid… now she’ll just have to get a job where she’s more limited and watched-over.
nathan says:
A better Job? I delivered pizzas for 4 years two and a half as my only job, the rest as a second. Towards the end I was making over $25 an hour, tell me a job that pays that good and requires no experience and no education. I knew a lot of people who supported their families with these jobs living in Orange County California, one of the most expensive places to live in the states
sundancedave says:
what’s the whole storty ? was she carrying more than the $20 she was allowed to carry ? I still think it’s hard…………..another job let alone a better job might be hard to find these days
Courtney says:
@ Bob Kantor: I work for Domino’s Pizza. There isn’t much else you can do without a degree or illegal activity, that will let you walk away averaging 30 dollars an hour.
nikki says:
its company policy. she was fired because she was carrying more than the allowed $20. therefore, making other dominos drivers targets. its fair that she was fired..sucks, but fair. she went against how she was trained to be a “safe” delivery expert and termination is the price she paid.

Leland says:
Okay, I’ll grant the employer’s right to fire for just about any reason other then the federal taboos. No matter how poor the judgment may seem on the surface, they can do that.
But keeping her last paycheck? In most states that will get Dominos a yellow flag and a ten yard penalty.
